Dian Sastro wardoyo was born in Jakarta on March 16, 1982 from the parents Ariawan Rusdianto Sastrowardoyo and Dewi Parwati Setyorini. she is the grandson of one of Indonesian national movement leaders Prof. Mr Sunario Sastrowardoyo. Dian is best-known as a talented actress with full of totality. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies and anythings related to art. She was Catholic, but then she converted to Islam.
Dian Sastrowardoyo started her career in the entertainment industry in 1996 as a cover girl champion which was held by GADIS Magazine. She is became the icon of National Indonesian film Raising from long dead, together with Nicholas Saputra in the movie Ada Apa Dengan Cinta (AADC).
Dian Sastro's first movie was Bintang Jatuh(2000), directed by Rudi Sujarwo but was not released in the theater. Rather, the movie was being shown in the campus and universities. In that movie, she collaborated with other Indonesian celebs such as Marcella Zalianty, Garry Iskak and Indra Wibowo. Dian's next movie was Pasir Berbisik (2001), in this movie, she was competing with the Christine Hakim, Slamet Raharjo and Didi Petet. Through this film, Dian was awarded as the best actress in the Singapore International film Festival and Asian Film Festival in Deauville, France (2002).
Dian also hosting a quiz show called Super Miliarder 3 Miliar (billion) that is broascasted on ANTV. In addition, she is also starring a TV serial Dunia Tanpa Koma in RCTI.
In addition to the stage he has been in the rubric own magazine called The GADIS Dian, the rubric is distributing the talent he write and communicate with readers of the magazine wedding.
